| Since
my doctorate, my research has focused on understanding the cognitive
and brain bases of changes in word retrieval across the lifespan and
after brain injury. Over time, my interest in contributing to the
understanding of how to maximize functional communication and enhance
the daily life experiences for people with aphasia has grown. My
current work employs behavioral and neuroimaging techniques to
understand how the brain changes after injury and how to support
functional recovery through rehabilitation.
